I was notified that an item I ordered on the web was out of stock. It happens, especially when clothing colors and sizes are involved.
The manufacturer, White + Warren, was having an end-of-season sample sale. I ordered two knit tops in different colors in the same size. One of the colors was sold out. I got a polite e-mail about it with some easy options for next steps.
What I liked the best about this communication was that the woman who wrote to me signed her full name. Drives me nuts when someone identifies themselves only by a first name, [which happens most often on the telephone].
What else was special? Next to her name was her photograph.
With this friendly and unusual signoff, I almost felt as though I had been in a store with great service!
